David Shrigley Mug: Stop Thinking

There’s a looseness to David Shrigley’s work that feels almost accidental, but never is—humour delivered in a way that’s dry, direct, and quietly disarming. On these mugs, that sensibility plays out in the background of your daily routine, turning a simple coffee into something a little less predictable. The illustrations don’t compete for attention; they sit there, slightly offbeat, waiting to be noticed.

The build remains classic and functional, with a balanced ceramic form and a print applied to both sides so the artwork stays present from any angle. Even the brightly coloured gift box carries the same tone—playful without being loud. It’s an everyday piece, elevated just enough to feel intentional.
